First Shots: Huawei GR3 2017

Here’s our sample photos taken with the GR3 2017

We’re almost done with our Huawei GR3 2017 review, but many of you are already wondering how the GR3 2017’s camera fares, since Huawei’s mid-range GR5 2017 managed to deliver decent photos for its price. Does the GR3 2017 follow in its footsteps?

Well you can check out some of the photos we took below to see for yourself:

From our photos, it seems that the GR3 2017 has a relatively good sensor for its 12-megapixel rear camera for the price. It has limitations though – shots taken from indoors with less than ideal light show washed-out details, though it’s more than enough for sharing on social media.

Low-light shots like the ones in the Samsung Galaxy S8 launch and the night shot of the Uptown Mall in BGC show the limits of the GR3 2017’s low-light capabilities.

With enough light, the GR3 2017 is able to capture plenty of detail. The texture on the fish head as well as the mini-bokeh effect at the rear of the cute kitty is pretty impressive for a phone like the GR3 2017, especially at the price point it sits in.

That’s pretty much it. We’re wrapping up our review cycle for the GR3 2017 so stay tuned for our full review!
