What do you think of Globe’s new caps?
Globe has introed a new data scheme that moves away from a daily data cap for their Tattoo DSL to a monthly one. The new scheme does not affect old subscribers – only new and renewing subs are affected.
To give you an idea of the data allocation, the entry level plans (999, 1099) will be given a monthly data cap of just 10GB a month – exceeding this cap means your speeds are going to be knocked down to 64Kbps.
Here’s the comparison of the old and new data caps:
Old plans
• For DSL 1 Mbps: 3 GB per account per day
• For DSL 2 Mbps: 5 GB per account per day
• For DSL 3 Mbps: 7 GB per account per day
• For DSL 5 Mbps: 10 GB per account per day
• For DSL 7 Mbps: 10 GB per account per day
New plans
• For DSL 1 Mbps: 10 GB per account per month
• For DSL 2 Mbps: 10 GB per account per month
• For DSL 3 Mbps: 15 GB per account per month
• For DSL 5 Mbps: 20 GB per account per month
• For DSL 7 Mbps: 30 GB per account per month
