Here’s a Quick Tour of the Unbox HQ for 2015

Here’s a Quick Tour of the Unbox HQ for 2015

Happy New Year everyone! 2015 is now here and just like in previous years we make it a point to re-arrange the Unbox HQ at the start of every year. From a room filled with a variety of gadgets, the Unbox HQ has evolved into some sort of Man Cave filled with statues, collectibles, statement posters, and even paintings. Check out all the photos and reference links below and let us know what you think of our current set-up in the comments section!

The first thing you’ll see when you enter the Unbox HQ (aka Carlo’s Home Office), is a display of 1/6th scale figures by Hot Toys in glass cabinets lined with LED lights. The figures are mostly from The Avengers, The Winter Soldier, and Iron Man.

Hanging on the wall is a memento from my late grandfather, Senator Blas F. Ople. It’s a genuine leather Bally vertical bag with his name inscribed on it.

On the right table there are a bunch of books with collectible bookends propping them up. We have a limited edition Superman-Doomsday Bookend (only 2030 units made in the world) and a Katana Bookend. They both look crazy epic.

Really nice bookend. Love this one to bits.

Right to the left of the door is the workspace set-up. We have a white wooden work desk flanked by two glass display cabinets. On the left display cabinet we have a variety of 1/6th scale figures from Lord of the Rings to 1986 Batman. We also have a few figures from Attack on Titan, namely Eren, Levi, and Mikasa. On the right cabinet we have 1/4th scale NECA figures of Batman from Arkham Asylum, Gypsy Danger from Pacific Rim, and Thor from the Avengers.

What’s on the actual work desk itself? We have an ASUS 27-inch LED monitor in between Audio Engine 5 speakers. The 15-inch MacBook Pro Retina sits on a BookArc and is connected to the ASUS monitor. We have a Naruto Gakamichi Limited Edition statue (only 1,000 made in the world) on top of the right speaker and a bunch of mini-Groot figures on the left speaker. For the peripherals we have the new Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Chroma and the Razer DeathAdder Chroma. By the way, also on the desk in this photo are our daily drivers: the LG G3, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and the Sony MKII.

Super loving everything on this desk, hehe.

Just beside our work desk to the right is a small table with glass cases. The big rectangular glass case hosts a lot of our smaller collectible figures. The right glass case holds one of my favorite statues: Superman from Man of Steel Premium Format by Sideshow Collectibles. The three paintings on the wall were procured in Madrid from a street painter named Jonathan.

Finally we come to the final corner of the room. Here we have 4 glass cabinets. The first two have 1/6th scale figures mostly from the Spiderman franchise. We have a Superman display at the top.

The glass cabinet right next to it doesn’t hold toys anymore. Instead it keeps our headphone collection. Some of these bad boys cost a lot so we felt it was a good decision to keep ’em in a secure cabinet and they also were great for display.

Lastly we have the final black glass cabinet. We’re still filling this one up but for now it has more Attack on Titan figures from Good Smile Nendroid and Figma.

Probably one of the cutest areas in the room, hehe.

And that’s pretty much it! This will definitely change again in 2016 and we’re exciting to see the room evolve into something different once again.

Happy new year everyone! May you all have a blessed 2015!
