The perfect summer companions

If you haven’t noticed, Manila has transformed into the surface of the sun. Just the other day the mercury rose past 38 degrees, which is a number which is entirely too high for our liking. If we had a choice we’d stay inside the entire day and crank up our AC/fan up, but that’s not always an option, especially for people going out on long commutes or going on trips.

Enter Xiaomi’s Mi Fan and LED. The former is a nifty little durable fan that works with any powerbank, and consumes just 1 watt of electricity under 5 volts. The body is pretty flexible, and can be bent to face whatever direction you want, thanks to its flexible stem.

The Mi LED lamp does exactly what its name suggests. It’s a handy little LED lamp that uses only 1.2 watts of electricity under 5 volts. The LED lamp can be used through a USB port on notebooks or power banks. What’s nice about the Mi LED is that it was made for Xiaomi’s own powerbanks, as the button on the Mi Powerbank turns the light on and off, perfect when you’re roughing it outdoors or if the power grid fails.

Much like anything made by Xiaomi, both the Mi LED and Mi Fan retail for a paltry RMB 20, or around Php 160.
