Meet the Bohol Phone
Gadget shop Save and Earn Wireless just announced a “new smartphone” that they’re offering called the Bohol Phone. It’s also being hyped as the “official phone of Bohol” as it is endorsed by no less than Governor Edgar Chatto. The device sports a 4.0-inch display with a dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, and 4GB internal storage. It’s not that much in terms of specifications but at least it costs less than Php2,000! What’s makes it a “Bohol Phone” though is the exclusive pre-loaded content though we have yet to verify if those are just PDF files or they’re actual applications.
We double checked and apparently this is actually a rebranded MyPhone Rio Craze 2. It was a partnership between Save ‘N Earn Wireless and MyPhone for the provincial government of Bohol and the Department of Tourism.
The Bohol Phone is now available for Php1,999 at Save ‘N Earn Wireless outlets in Bohol.
