Bose’s new SoundTouch Wi-Fi speakers allow you to enjoy your music quickly and easily

Yesterday, Bose, through their distributor Eleksis Marketing Corporation has officially unveiled the SoundTouch family of Wi-Fi speakers consisting of the  SoundTouch Portable (which has an internal battery good for 3 hours of play), SoundTouch 20 and the SoundTouch 30. All three speakers are identical in design and only differ in size (and price, obviously) and raw sound output.

The idea for the SoundTouch family is simple – you connect them to your home’s network through Wi-Fi or Ethernet, and then control them through Bose’s app through your mobile device (iOS and Android).

What’s nice about the speakers is that you can connect and control as many of them that’s connected to your home network through the Bose app. You can control them individually no matter where they are in your hoouse, as well as have them all play your music from your mobile device or your NAS (if you have one).

Another key feature of the speakers is that you can map song genres and internet radio stations through the six buttons located on top using the app. Those presets then propagate to all the SoundTouch speakers that are connected to your home network, which then allows you to play your music instantly without the need for your mobile device by just pressing any of the six buttons.

As far as sound quality goes, the SoundTouch speakers managed to pump out an impressive amount of sound with no distortion. The sound was clear, crisp and had plenty of definition.

If you were expecting these SoundTouch speakers would be cheap, you’re mistaken. These are Bose speakers, obviously, and carries a premium price. The SoundTouch 30 retails for Php 49,500, while the SoundTouch 20 and SoundTouch Portable both retail for Php 29500.
