Canon’s Flaghsip EOS 5D Mark IV Announced, Priced At $3,499

At long last, Canon has officially unveiled the newest flagship of their EOS line. Meet the EOS 5D Mark IV. The new camera sports a 30.4-megapixel, full-frame CMOS sensor and Digic 6+ processor. Aside from being able to take amazing still thanks to a 61-point autofocus system and digital lens optimizer, the camera can also capture 4K video at 23.98, 24, 25 and 30 frames per second, at DCI resolutions of 4096 x 2160. ISO range starts from 100 ang goes all the way up to 32,000.

The camera sports Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF, as well as a touchscreen display that’s not just limited to video use. There’s load of connectivity options as well, including NFC, WiFi and GPS. The EOS 5D Mark IV takes both SD cards and CompactFlash storage, and is weather resistant though Canon doesn’t recommend you dunk it in water. All in all it’s a very impressive camera, though it’s pretty expensive as well – prices start at $3,499 (Php 162K) in the US. No local pricing as of yet.
