Cherry Mobile sends chocolaty KitKat goodness to Emerald and Flare S2 users via OTA
Even if you personally don’t like the brand, Cherry Mobile has been working overtime to deliver KitKat updates to their current lineup. They’re already sent out an OTA update for their Cosmos Z2 and a manual update for their Omega Spectrum, and now the local brand has unveiled two more updates for two of their devices, the budget Emerald and Flare S2. Both updates are  OTA, meaning you just need to open the OTA update app in both devices to get them running (unlike the manual update required for the Omega Spectrum).
Right now, Cherry Mobile has the lead when it comes to providing KitKat updates for their phones, and the local brand has said it is working hard to deliver more updates to more of its lineup. This begs the question: where are the updates of its main rivals, Starmobile and MyPhone? We’re really hoping that both of these local brands follow Cherry Mobile’s example and send KitKat updates as fast as possible.
