If you were wondering when Cherry Mobile would release the KitKat update for the Omega Spectrum, you’re in luck. The company has announced in its Facebook page that the KitKat update for their sub 5K smartphone is now available, though there’s a catch. It’s not an OTA download, so you will have to manually update it via SD card in the link provided in this post. While you’re still getting KitKat at the end of the process, bear in mind that the manual update process is a bit trickier than the OTA, and WILL wipe all the data in your phone if it’s successful.
