The Nova 2 is now official!
Cherry Mobile has come a long way from 2010 when they launched their first ever Android smartphone, the Nova. Even though it has managed to offer more compelling smartphones since they launched the Eclair powered, 600 MHz packing Nova four years ago, the company isn’t shy about looking back and acknowledging their roots. CM has announced the successor to their first ever smartphone, the Nova 2, which (fittingly) packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, Adreno 305 chip and 1GB of RAM.

Looking at the specs, the Nova 2 offers great value for money, especially since you’re getting 1GB of RAM, along with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor. While there’s certainly less expensive smartphones thatn the Nova 2, only a few of them pack a quad-core processor, and almost none have 1GB of RAM since most only have 512MB. The Nova 2 is a perfect smartphone for people looking for an inexpensive device for their kids or other family members.
