New budget smartphones coming from Cherry Mobile!
Aside from their leaked Omega Spectrum, two other Cherry Mobile smartphones have been leaked via their promotional posters. The Cherry Mobile Urban is a quad-core smartphone under 5K using an IPS display with qHD resolution for people who don’t want the 5-inch, IPS panel equipped HD Omega Spectrum, while the Omega Aeon looks to be a slightly upgraded model of the Spectrum with a slightly better 5-inch, HD IPS OGS display and better 13-megapixel rear camera.

Interestingly enough, Cherry Mobile is claiming that the Urban will be Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, instead of the company’s regular 4.3 Jellybean offering. It sounds too good to be true, considering that MediaTek has yet to release a KitKat update for its chipsets which is usually the SOC that local brands favor. Still, rumors have it that MediaTek will be releasing an update for its chipsets at the end of the month, which may be the reason why Cherry Mobile put Android 4.4 KitKat as the OS that the Urban will ship with when it hits stores. One of the posters also hints at a new version of Cherry Mobile’s ultra thin Razor, dubbed Razor 2.0, though we haven’t found a leaked poster of that….yet.
