Meet the Cloudfone Epic 7.0 tablet!
Earlier today, Globe, Cloudfone and Intel jointly announced CloudFone’s newest product offering, the CloudFone Epic 7.0. This particular device holds the honor of being the first locally branded device powered by Intel to be launched alongside a postpaid plan from Globe.
The Cloudfone Epic 7.0 sports Intel’s dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor, chugging along at 1.2GHz, paired with 1GB of RAM and around 8GB of storage, which can be expanded via microSD. The device will ship with a swanky leather-looking carrying case, alongside a Bluetooth keyboard and a CloudFone Excite 400dx handset.

Right now the CloudFone Epic 7.0 is exclusive through Globe, and is free at Plan 499, with a lock-in of two years. The plan gives you 100MB of data, all-month access to Spotify, Gmail, Yahoo Mail and Evernote, as well as 10GB of Globe Cloud Storage, and bulk all-net calls and SMS. Globe is also planning to sell the Cloudfone Epic as a pre-paid bundle, though they haven’t decided on the price as of press time.
