Initial Impressions: Bulky, fast, and reliable

The body of the CloudFone Thrill 430x is compact due to the 4.3-inch screen size, however it is bulky because it is quite thick. The thickness and heft is brought about by the huge 4,160 mAh battery. The form factor is the compromise you’ll have to make if you want the insane battery life. Note though that while it is thick, it hasn’t reached the point wherein it is un-wieldy. In fact it’s still quite easy to use even with one hand.

When it comes to performance, the CloudFone Thrill 430x is no slouch. The snapdragon dual-core processor combined with 768MB RAM and Android Ice Cream Sandwich is more than enough to give a smooth user experience save for the occasional lags when running multiple apps and live wall papers. We’ll probably do some benchmark tests once we come out with the full review so watch out for that one.

By the way we noticed that CloudFone has two custom apps on board the device. We didn’t try them yet but we’ll make sure to cover them as well for the upcoming review.

CloudFone Apps... Hmmm.
CloudFone Apps… Hmmm.

Let’s go back to the main selling point of the device: battery life. Does it deliver? Based on this weekend that we’ve been using the phone we can definitely say that it lives up to the hype! We’ve been using it as our main phone since Saturday morning and it’s still going strong! We started at 100% back then and we’re still at 42% as of this writing this morning. Crazy right? I don’t know about you but I’m probably going to buy a unit for myself as my back-up phone if only for the battery life.

Full Review Coming Soon!

Watch out for our full review soon. We kinda have a backlog of posts though so expect this one to come out later this week.

As far as initial impressions go, we give the CloudFone Thrill 430x two thumbs up!
