Galaxy Nexus gets a price cut and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Galaxy Nexus to sell for under Php16,000?

As we reported a few days ago, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be one of the first smartphones to get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. However it looks like there’s one more major reason to get the Nexus. It just got another price cut! You can actually get one from the Google Play store for just $349 or roughly Php15,000-Php16,000. At this price point the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the best Android smartphone, pound-per-pound, in the market today.

Here in the Philippines you can get the Nexus from Smart or via online resellers. We’ve already sent an e-mail to Smart asking if they will offer the Nexus on a prepaid kit and not just via their postpaid plans. We’ll keep you guys posted once we get a reply.
