Gionee Releases Massive Phones With Big Batteries: Meet The M6 and M6 Plus

Gionee’s Marathon series of smartphones have always prioritized big batteries over flashy specs. The latest entry to the M series of devices, the M6 and M6 Plus, don’t stray too far from that established formula. The M6 packs a whopping 5000mAh battery along wth a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display and MediaTek’s latest baby, the Helio P10. That’s paired with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of storage along with a fingerprint sensor and a premium-looking metal body.

The M6 Plus packs the same processor, storage and RAM combo but has a far larger 6-inch full HD display and a massive 6020mAh battery. Both phones are touted by Gionee to have built-in data encryption that protects a users data from prying eyes.

Gionee has priced the 64GB version of the M6 at RMB 2,699 or Php 19.1K, while the 128GB version will retail for RMB 2,899 or around Php 20.5K. The 64GB version of the M6 Plus meanwhile, will retail for RMB 2999 or Php 21.2K, while the 128GB version will be RMB 3,199 or Php 22.6K.
