Huawei Honor 8 Lite Passes TENAA Certification

Leaked design renders of Huawei’s Honor 8 Lite showed up on the Internet a few weeks ago, along with some specifications of the handset. Recently, the Honor 8 Lite made an appearance over at China’s TENAA commission, displaying a full listing of its hardware config. Compiled with the earlier leaks, here’s what we have so far.

Huawei Honor 8 Lite (TENAA Specs)

  • 2.1GHz HiSilicon Kirin 655 octa-core processor
  • 4GB RAM
  • 5.2-inch FHD display, 1920 x 1080 resolution
  • 64GB expandable storage, via microSD
  • 12-megapixel rear camera
  • 8-megapixel front camera
  • Fingerprint scanner
  • 2900mAh battery
  • Android 7.0 Nougat (EMUI 5.0)
Earlier renders of the Honor 8 Lite. The fingerprint scanner in these images are circular, while the TENAA version represents the actual design.

Like the original Honor 8, the Honor 8 Lite has a metal and glass build. The handset is expected to ship in Black, White, Gold, Pink and Blue colors, if the TENAA cert holds true. No pricing details have been announced as of yet, but the rumor grapevine has it that Huawei will be launching the smartphone soon.
