Lenovo joins the Ultrabook royal rumble with the IdeaPad U300

Lenovo IdeaPad launches in the Philippines

Last night Lenovo launched the Lenovo IdeaPad U300 in the Philippines. Amongst all the ultrabooks I’ve seen so far this is probably the one that stands out the most because it doesn’t 100% copy the design and color scheme of the Apple MacBook Air. I’m actually taking a liking to the orange color they used for this laptop! It’s not bright enough to annoy the eyes. It’s just “orangey” enough, lol!

Anyway, this will ship with different variants next year but the first model that will be available in January will pack an Intel Core i5 1.6GHz processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 128GB SSD, and Intel GMA HD 300 Graphics. Note that this has a 13.3″ LED display and not the 11.6″ display from the smaller notebooks. The specs also say that it has battery life of up to 8 hours (not bad).

How much? SRP is Php55,995. Not bad.
