We go hands-on with Lenovo’s new Yoga Tablet 10 HD+!

Lenovo’s Original Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ was a remarkably flexible tablet that sported an original design that really made it stand out from all the other tablets in the market. In fact, the design was so good that Lenovo decided to improve on the hardware for the next iteration of the device while leaving the externals virtually untouched. The result is the Yoga Tablet 10 HD+, and we had the good fortune of actually getting some hands-on time with the device during an event in MOA this past weekend.

Initial impressions: still beautiful, now with a better processor and display

The Leovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ is a unique tablet because it’s designed differently from your typical tablet. Lenovo has shifted the center of gravity of the Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ to one end which has a circular bulge. This bulge makes the tablet lay down on an angle which in turn gives you a better viewing angle when the tablet is on a flat surface. If you still need a better view of the tablet, you can flip out the integrated kickstand on the back of the tablet, making it stand upright on its own.

Even with the bulge, the tablet is still pretty easy to use with one hand.

As far as build quality is concerned, it’s obvious that the Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ is a pretty premium device. The tablet sports an magnesium alloy body, and the bulge where the kickstand is actually holds a massive 9000mAh battery. The display is pretty nice, with generally good color all around.

The Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ sports a better, Qualcomm processor compared to the MediaTek one that was in the previous iteration, although we’re not sure which variant Lenovo Philippines will offer to our market.

Hopefully Lenovo Philippines sets a good price for the Yoga Tablet 10 HD+, as it’s one of the more unique Android tablets that’s been released in a while.

Unfortunately, we don’t have pricing or availability information as of yet for this tablet. We’ll update this post as soon as we get more information.
