This is a wild new concept from LG

LG has revealed their newest product offering, the AKA (pronounced AW-kuh) today that offers a rather unique selling point – distinct personalities. Yes, the new phone switches personalities depending on what cover you put on them, making them akin to oversized Tamagochis of yore.

Wooky, Eggy, Soul and YoYo each have distinct personalities that are triggered when you put the appropriate covers on the AKA, which covers 2/3rds of the device, leaving a small piece of screen real-estate where the eyes of your chosen character peek at you, rather creepily, if we say so ourselves.

The hardware is decidedly mundane, with the AKA sporting a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 5-inch HD display, 8-megapixel rear camera and 2.1-front camera, paired with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB. The phone also runs KitKat right out of the box, and will only be offered in LG’s home country of Korea, priced at 500,000 Korean Won, or Php 20483.
