So Micromax, a brand based in India has released their Canvas 4 Plus smartphone. The Canvas 4 Plus’ claim to fame is an AMOLED display, which is the display of choice for many hi-end smartphone manufacturers for its super saturated colors and low power consumption.

If you’re asking why we’re writing about a device that’s obviously aimed at the Indian market, you might want to recall that Micromax uses the same ODM as another local brand here in the Philippines, MyPhone. So there’s a big chance that this particular smartphone (with revisions) may show up here in the PH, though it may be a tough sell – priced at INR 16,999 or around Php 12443, it’s certainly expensive considering the specs, though that AMOLED display’s low power consumption may be worth the price of admission.
