MyPhone A919i Duo drives hundreds to SM Cyberzone North Edsa Annex
Crazy long lines that rival the highest level of gameplay in Snake (Nokia 5110 game lol) greeted us as we arrived at SM Cyberzone (North Edsa Annex) for the MyPhone A919i Duo One-Day Sale and Launch. The hype and craze was well deserved though as they’re offering the quad-core Android Jellybean device for just Php7,900. Actual SRP is PHp9,590 and the phone will be available at the price starting May 1, 2013.
Initial Impressions
We got a short hands-on time with the MyPhone A919i Duo and we definitely were impressed. The screen was superb and sharp despite the big 5-inch screen. We noticed no lags and delays while testing transitions, animations, and opening apps. This is obviously thanks to the quad-core processor. We weren’t able to run an Antutu Benchmark Test but MyPhone claims that it hits over 12,000.
As for the body and build, the MyPhone A919i Duo is made primarily of plastic. It’s still quite a looker though thanks to the pleasantly surprising slim and lightweight profile.
Over-all we can definitely say that the MyPhone A919i Duo is a crazy steal at Php7,900. Those who were able to buy it earlier deserve a pat on their backs. Great value for money!
