The Tablet to Beat?
Geekbench just posted the benchmark scores of the Nexus 9 and they made jaws of techies and gadget fans worldwide drop! Google and HTC’s newest tablet offering scored a whopping 1903 on Geekbench which is almost just as high as the 2012 Mac Pro which clocked in 1925. Crazy right?!
To put things in perspective though, while the Nexus 9 has almost the same score, it doesn’t necessarily mean you can do all the things you can do with a Mac Pro with the Nexus 9. Benchmarking tests just measure several aspects of a device and they can never truly capture the total picture. However it’s comforting and awesome to know that potentially the computing power of tablets these days are just insane. Makes you wonder what mobile technology will be like in 5 years?
