Looks like we’ll be seeing the return of the king sooner than later. Nokia, yesteryear’s smartphone emperor, is planning a comeback very soon, according to a report by GSMArena.
Mike Wang, president of the joint management team at Nokia China, said that the company plans to unveil around 3 to 4 Nokia mobile devices – phones and tablets – towards the end of this year. The product launch for these devices will take place early the following year.
A few months ago, the company announced its comeback to mobile device making, tapping a design company headed by a former Nokia exec and manufacturing giant Foxconn.
The Internet has been rife with rumors of Nokia’s upcoming phones: Snapdragon 820 processors with 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch QHD OLED displays, packing 22.6-megapixel or so cameras and running the latest Android 7.0 operating system.
Soon, loyal Nokia followers. Soon!
