Our Favorite Shots From The Huawei Nova 2i

We just can’t get enough of this phone

We’ve already given you our verdict on Huawei’s newest mid-range device, but if you’re still on the fence about buying the quad-camera packing, 18:9 aspect ratio phone, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve compiled our favorite shots taken from the phone’s main snapper to show you just how capable the device is when it comes to taking photos. We’ve also uploaded the untouched, original file so you can take a look a look yourself at the phone’s capabilities.

This shot is pretty cool because it was taken behind glass at night, in one of the many stalls in the Feng Chia night market in Taichung. You can clearly see the sugar coating on the fruit behind the glass.

Despite being a mid-range phone, the Nova 2i is pretty good at taking shots under artificial light at night, This shot shows that off clearly, and while there’s a little bit of noise present, you can still clearly make out the yummy shrimp on the stall.

This is a particularly challenging shot for the Nova 2i since there are several light sources scattered around here which makes metering a little difficult. But the phone still managed to take a great shot despite that, though you’ll see a loss in sharpness when you zoom in.

It was raining pretty much our whole stay in Taichung which meant challenging shooting conditions for the Nova 2i because of the subdued light, but it took it all in stride as this photo shows.

This photo was taken at around 5:00 PM in Taipei, and despite the waning light the Nova 2i still managed to capture good detail with little noise.

The Nova 2i is definitely another solid mid-range offering from Huawei. While it does have its faults, its positives outweigh its negatives and it’s one of the best options right now if you’re looking for a solid bang-for-the-buck phone.
