Would you buy a Pepsi phone?

Pepsi, one of the biggest names in fizzy drinks has confirmed with Reuters that they are launching a line of mobile phones and accessories in China. Why? No one knows – maybe they’re bored with selling carbonated sugar in cans/bottles? Anyway, the first phone, dubbed the Pepsi P1, will have a fairly tame MediaTek MT6592 processor, 2GB of RAM, 5.5-inch full HD display and a 13-megapixel/5-megapixel camera combo along with a 3000mAh battery.

Obviously Pepsi doesn’t have experience making and selling phones, so just like Nokia, the company will be partnering up with a Chinese OEM to produce the device. The phone will not be available outside China, and will have a $205 (Php 9.5K) selling price when it hits stores.
