Unboxing the Removu R1
There’s no doubting that Go Pro cameras are fantastic gadgets both for sports action enthusiasts and casual shutterbugs. However operating those cameras can be a pain sometime since you need to connect it to your phone for you to see what it’s seeing especially if you’re doing selfie-type videos or photos. This is where the new Removu R1 comes in. It’s a kick-ass wearable wifi live viewer made for the Go Pro!

We currently have a unit with us and we’d like to share with you guys our unboxing and initial impressions.
As you guys can see in the photo, the Removu comes in a plastic rectangular box. The unit itself is proudly displayed to showoff the build and the LCD screen (which functions as the viewfinder). To open we just removed the circular capes and pulled out the carton containing the Removu R1.
The Removu R1 is has three main parts. First is the LCD display (2.0-inches QVGA TFT LCD). This is the main viewfinder that shows you what the Go Pro sees (you connect via WiFi). Next are the control buttons just on the side of the LCD display. Lastly there are slots at the back which lets you attach the velcro wrist strap that also comes in the box. You can actually put the Removu R1 on your wrist this way.
Usability wise, the Removu R1 is a winner. We had no problem or issue whatsoever connecting it with our Go Pro via WiFi. We’ll talk about this more in our upcoming review.
As far as initial impressions are concerned, we’re very much impressed and happy with the Removu R1. It’s a fantastic accessory for Go Pro fans and it’s definitely worth the look!
