Samsung’s upcoming smartphone has a metal frame
Samsung’s always been unapologetic when it comes to using plastic in its smartphones, a decision that has always been met with harsh criticism. Well, it appears that the company is now making a smartphone that’s at least partially made from metal. The device is dubbed as the Galaxy Alpha, and features a metallic body though it still retains a plastic back much like the Galaxy S5.
SamMobile has gotten their hands on an early device, and according to them the Galaxy Alpha will sport a far smaller 4.7-inch display compared to the S5’s 5.1-inches. There’s no solid word on specs though, but rumor has it that the Galaxy Alpha will pack either an Exynos 5 Octa or Snapdragon 800 processor and around 32GB of storage.
