Samsung Galaxy Camera announced at Samsung’s Unpacked 2012 Event in Berlin, Germany

Samsung Galaxy Camera… yes you read that right

This one I wasn’t expecting at all, lol. The Samsung Galaxy family now has a new member in the family and this one ain’t your usual smartphone. Samsung revealed the Galaxy Camera during their Unpacked 2012 event in Berlin, Germany. This device has Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software and has 3G/4G/WiFi capabilities. It’s literally a camera that has a built-in smartphone in it (not the other way around). The smartphone itself isn’t a slouch as well since it packs a 1.4Ghz quad-core processor. It’s like they slapped a Samsung Galaxy S3 to the back of a point-and-shoot camera

The Samsung Galaxy Camera is also packed with smart features, among them the Smart Pro Modes. These are 10 automated photo settings that will supposedly make your photos look professional. We’ll reserve judgement for this until we get an actual review unit to play around with.

Launch date for this device is Q4 2012.
