Samsung Galaxy S8 Revealed By Case Maker

Samsung may not be joining Mobile World Congress this year for the unveil of their Galaxy S8, but that doesn’t mean the Korean manufacturer is safe from leaks. Australian case manufacturer UAG has outed renders of the yet unannounced phone wearing their cases, and the renders confirm several things about the device.

A “Real” Look at the Samsung Galaxy S8

First off, the renders confirm that the Galaxy S8 will no longer have physical buttons on the front which has long been a staple in Samsung’s phone stable. With the disappearance of the home button on the front comes the re-location of the fingerprint button to the rear, beside the camera module which is quite unusual – this is the first time we’ve ever seen a phone with that kind of fingerprint reader placement before.

The photos from the case maker also reveal a curved display as well as an extra button aside from the power and volume keys, which is rumored to be the dedicated button for Bixby, the AI assistant that would supposedly come with the Galaxy S8.

As with any leak, take these photos with a grain of salt, though case manufacturers have been one of the most reliable sources of information when it comes to unannounced smartphones.
