Smart Limited Edition Data Plan 1000
SMART launched a new product today called the SMART Limited-Edition Data Plan 1000. It’s basically a postpaid plan which gives you 500 text messages (across all networks), 500 voice minutes (Smart, Talk ‘N Text), and 1GB of data. What’s interesting about this though is that Smart will also bundle a subsidized smartphone with it that you can pay at 0% over 24 months. Here are the first ten phones as well as their respective monthly amortization costs:
- BlackBerry Curve 9360 – Php800
- BlackBerry Bold 9790 -Php900
- BlackBerry Bold 9900 – Php1,300
- HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio – Php900
- HTC Evo 3D – Php900
- Samsung Galaxy Note – Php900
- Samsung Galaxy Nexus – Php900
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 – Php900
- Nokia N9 – Php900
- Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray – Php500

How does it work? For example you get the Samsung Galaxy Note. Your monthly bill will be the Php1,000 service fee plus excess charges from calls and messages, and the Php900. Php900 x 24 months is just Php21,600 though so that’s already a subsidized price for the Note since it sells for much higher than that! From what I heard as well Smart will be adding more phones to the line-up of the Data Plan.
