Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S Announced at IFA 2011

This just in from the IFA 2011! Sony just revealed a refresh of their highly successful Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. Dubbed as the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S, this new model packs a 1.4GHz QUalcomm MSM8255 processor giving it extra muscle which officially bumps up the Xperia into the major leagues (in tech specs anyway). The 8.1 megapixel camera (Exmor R sensor) also boasts of a new feature called the “3D sweep panorama”. It’s amazing how quickly technology advances these days. It’s hard to imagine we’d have slim and small phones like the Xperia Arc S that can do 3D panoramic shots right? During the reveal Sony also said that due to the hardware upgrades the camera will start up 20% faster. Web browsing will also be 25% faster.

The Xperia Arc S will also have access to Sony Entertainment Music and Video Unlimited. I’m not sure if this will be available in the Philippines. Will be shooting out an e-mail to the PR Group handling Sony Ericsson here in the Philippines for clarification.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S will still have the 4.2-inch (854×480 pixel) Reality Display, HDMI, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.

Check out the new Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S!

Gorgeous and slim Xperia Arc now with more muscle!

Release date is October. Not sure when exactly in the Philippines. Hopefully still in Q4.:)
