Here’s Sony’s upgrade plan

With the arrival of Android 5.0 Lollipop, people are naturally going to ask if their current device will be updated to Google’s latest and greatest. Well, for owners of Sony’s entire Xperia Z lineup, the answer is a resounding yes – Sony has announced that they will be updating the entire Z series of devices. To be specific, you’re looking at an update of the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1S, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.

So when can you expect the update to arrive? Sony’s said that Xperia Z3 and Z2 series of devices will get the update first in 2015, though the Sony Z Ultra Google Play Edition will get its update ahead of all the others.
