Here’s yet another sign that we are living in the future: a Bluetooth speaker that levitates in the air as it dispenses your tunes. The OM/ONE is the first ever speaker in the world that actually levitates in mid-air. That isn’t just a gimmick, either – the company says that the levitation bit improves sound quality substantially.

The device hasn’t headed to retail shelves yet, as the company that’s building it is hoping to raise funds via crowd-funding to get the device out of R&D and into people’s hands. The company has raised $52,781 of its $100,000 funding goal with 49 days left, and prospective owners can nab one for just $179 (or around Php 7850 excluding shipping), around $20 off its retail price. The company expects to ship the first devices out by the time the holidays rolls around.
