USB Drive? No, It’s Actually A Tiny PC

Intel Atom Dongle

Really small PC that’s perfect for basic applications

See that thing above? No, it’s not a thumb drive. Believe it or not, that thing is actually a full fledged Bay Trail Atom PC that can connect to any display via an HDMI port. And if you’re wondering, yes, you can install Windows 8, 7 or any x86 based OS you want on it (including Linux) and use it like a low-cost PC for simple applications.

The specs are modest – Intel Z3735F 1.83GHz quad-core Bay Trail processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a microSD expansion slot. All in all you’re looking at $125 (Php 5564) from AliExpress for one of these, which isn’t a bad deal. While this isn’t the PC you’d want to use to play LOTR: Shadow of Mordor, it’s perfect for schools and businesses who simply need a basic PC. Let’s hope it manages to wander on in to the PH soon.
