Would You Buy A Phone Made By Meizu And Nokia?

The two brands are reportedly collaborating on a new smartphone

Here’s a question for you: would you buy a phone that’s built in collaboration with Meizu and Nokia? That’s apparently what the rumor mill is churning out – both brands are looking to collaborate on a new phone, which supposedly has a working code name of MX4 Supreme. Both brands need each other, if you think about it – Meizu’s appeal is limited to its home market in China (and is relatively unknown in more Western markets) and Nokia is looking to dip its toes into smartphones again without violating the terms that it signed with Microsoft when it sold off its mobile division.

What’s probably going to happen is that Meizu’s going to provide the hardware, while Nokia will provide the software. We’re already familiar with Nokia’s software chops via their Z Launcher that’s in their N1 Android tablet, so we know the company is capable of making a beautiful, easy to use UI.

So, are you up for a phone that’s built by both Meizu and Nokia? For us, bring it on! Nokia’s a company that’s looking to make a mark after its deal with Microsoft, and Meizu’s just as hungry and wants to step out of Xiaomi’s shadow in China.
