It’s slightly cheaper than the Note 8 though

As we wait for the official launch of the Google Pixel 2 phones, one of the important things we would like to know about the phone–other than its specs and features–is its price. Turns out, it’s not going to be cheap.

According to Droid Life, the LG-made Pixel XL, which will come in black-and-white (think panda colors) and “Just Black”, will retail for $849 for the 64GB model, and $949 for the 128GB model.  For reference, the 128GB variant of the Pixel XL, which launched last year, retailed for $869, while the 64GB variant retails for a hundred dollars cheaper. While the price hike is kind of steep, the Pixel 2 XL is still cheaper than the Note 8, which retails for $930 for the 64GB model.

Should you want the smaller Pixel 2, here’s a bit of good news: The HTC-made phone will retail for $649 for the 64GB model, and $749 for the 128GB model. The Pixel 2 will be available in three colors: Just Black, Clearly White, and Kinda Blue.

Both Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL is expected to have similar internals, which include a Snapdragon 835 processor, and 4GB RAM.

What do you think of Google’s pricing for the Pixel 2 phones?
