Meet ZTE’s newest phones

ZTE has a surprise or three left before this year is out, in the form of three new smartphones: the Blade X3, X5 and X9, officially announced in Russia. The highest end phone, the Blade X9 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, and a 13-megapixel rear/5-megapixel front camera, and a 3000mAh battery, along with a fingerprint scanner on the back.

The mid-range Blade X5 is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 processor, has 1GB of RAM, 5-inch IPS display and an 8-megapixel front/rear camera combo, along with a physical button the back of the phone to capture selfies. The X5 has a 2,400mAh battery inside of it to keep the lights on.

The entry level Blade X3 is the cheapest of the three, but surprisingly enough it has the biggest battery of the trio at 4000mAh. It has a 5-inch HD IPS display, and is powered by MediaTek’s MT6735 SoC, along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage.

The three phones are hitting the Russian market first, and the X3 goes for 8990 rubles or Php 6.5K, while the X5 goes for 10,990 rubles or Php 8K. The X9 is priced at 17990 rubles or Php 13K.
