London Baby!
Last May 14 we embarked on an unforgettable adventure to London for our company outing. Before you think though that this was an Unbox company outing, it wasn’t, hehe. To those who don’t know I actually work for an advertising agency (DM9 JaymeSyfu/Di9it). The whole company (a little over 40) went to London for 5 days for the annual outing. We did a lot of things in the trip including a walking tour, a ride on the London Eye, and even a dinner cruise along Thames River. The highlight for me though was our visit to the Warner Brothers Harry Potter studio! We saw the actual props, costumes, and sets that were used in the 8 movies of Harry Potter! It was a surreal and magical experience and I wanted to share it with you guys here on Unbox!
This post will have a lot of photos so just check out the captions for the details and the story. 🙂
Entering the Studio
The Great Hall
Various Sets and Props!
After the Great Hall we entered a giant area with the different sets and props used in Harry Potter. Everything from the giant Basalisk Door, Umbridge’s pink office, Dumbledor’s Office, to the Potions classroom were found here.
There were also two interactive areas. One had an instructional video on how to use a wand. The second area had a green screen and you can take photos/videos of yourself riding a broom or a vehicle. Sweet.
The Villains and the Creatures
Other Stuff
Not in the photos above is the outdoor area which had the Hogwarts Bridge, Privet Drive, and a Butterbeer station. Yes, we drank Butterbeer. It wasn’t too good though. 😮
How the Tour Ended
The tour ended with a giant Harry Potter shop. Various merchandise from clothes to props were there including replicas of the wands used by the various characters. I bought the wand of Voldemort as well as a smaller version of the Tri-Wizard cup. Makes for good additions to our Unbox Toy Collection here at the HQ, hehe.
It was definitely an unforgettable and magical trip. Much love and thanks to the partners, owners, and management of DM9 JaymeSyfu and Di9it!
