Your Android smartphone slowing down? Here’s the culprits, according to AVG

AVG, an antivirus provider has put down the worst Android apps that degrade the performance of your smartphone in both resources, battery and storage in its latest quarterly analysis. The company compiled a who’s who of apps that users should avoid downloading and installing to keep their phones chugging along smoothly, though sadly some entries in the list are already come pre-installed in their devices (sorry Samsung users).

Many of Samsung’s pre-installed software top the list, specifically their Beaming and Security Updates are the worst offenders in the Highest battery drain category. Facebook’s mobile app is apparently one of the biggest culprits in slowing down your phone when it comes to performance. As for data, you’d want to avoid installing Daily Mail’s mobile app if you don’t want your exhaust your mobile data ahead of schedule, though using Tumblr’s official Android app is another surefire way of killing your data allocation.
