What will the LTFRB Say?

Everyone’s favorite silver-haired Tito and modern day hero, James Deakin, recently challenged the LTFRB to assure / approve the concept of volunteer TNVS that will sign up with Grab in the next few weeks while Uber is suspended. The concept is simple: a group of volunteers will sign-up under the application and they will accept rides at no cost to them. Think of them like road angels that will help you get home or get to work.

My thoughts? It’s a fantastic idea but chances are they won’t be able to get the scale to have a big enough of an impact. How many drivers can we get to do this regularly for free over the next 2-3 weeks? The LTFRB should just lift the suspension and fine Uber massively (like 50M-100M) so that Filipino commuters can travel safer and better, especially with the on-going barrage of storms hitting the country.

One thing is for sure — the LTFRB will have one of the highest dissatisfaction ratings for any government agency.

PS: Someone appoint James Deakin to the LTFRB please.
