Pokemon Go Fest Goes Awry As Technical Issues Plague Attendees

They Didn’t Get to Catch ‘Em All

We think it’s safe to say that the Pokemon Go craze is done in the Philippines. There are no longer droves off people hanging out at BGC, but we’re pretty sure that there are still a loyal few who log onto the game daily to defend their local gyms. Niantic recently held the Pokemon Go Fest in Chicago to invite its loyal following and perhaps draw back trainers who have taken a hiatus from the game by launching Legendary Pokemon into the app that once took the world by storm.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned.

Live events are usually riddled with a few issues here and there, but we’re sure that a lot of attendees were disheartened that they couldn’t even play the game when they got there due to connectivity issues. To make amends for the mishap, Niantic Labs has offered attendees a full refund plus a couple of other perks, which include: $100 worth of PokeCoins and the Legendary Pokemon — Lugia — will be added into their account as well.
