Bric’s Pininfarina Laptop Case
Bric’s is an Italian brand of bags founded by Mario Criccola in 1952. Through the years the company has grown tremendously worldwide, making a name for itself as a premiere luxury brand of leather goods. This July Bric’s is launching in the Philippines with two concept stores, one in Shangrila Mall East Wing and another branch in SM Aura (the stores are actually open already but the formal launch is due later this month). We decided to drop by their store in Shangrila to see if they had any good laptop cases and we were pleasantly surprised to find a pretty good one from their Pininfarina collection.
Design, Quality, and Material
The Bric’s Pininfarina Laptop case was made for 17-inch laptops. However it can comfortably (and snuggly) fit the new 15-inch MacBook Pro (with Retina Display). The bag itself is made from stain and wear resistant nylon fabric which offers a tough exterior. It also has elegant leather details, like the handle, which serve as a great accent to the over-all style of the bag. In terms of dimensions it measures 15.35″ x 11.02″ x 1.57″ (W-H-D).
The bag has three compartments. The main one is for the laptop and has a cushion inside to help protect the device. A notable feature by the way is that they used some sort of fleece lining inside so that your laptop doesn’t get any scratches. It also adds a certain kind of sophistication and luxury to the bag.
On the outside we have a zippered pouch up front and a velcro pocket at the back (for easy access items).
For carrying you can either use the leather handles or the strap that comes along with the bag. The strap has a padded shoulder guard.
Over-all we’re pretty happy with the Bric’s Pininfarina Laptop Case. It’s sleek, professional, elegant, lightweight, and functional. It’s the type of bag that you want to bring with you when you’re going out of the office for a meeting in another office or venue and you need to bring your laptop for the presentation.
