Offers initial Street View photos inside Intramuros

Fantastic news for virtual tour enthusiasts in the Philippines: Google has officially begun capturing Street View images in the Philippines. In a blog post in their Asia Pacific arm, Google has proudly announced that they have begun taking panoramic photos around the Philippines, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism.

To give pinoys, and really everyone around the world a taste of what the Philippines has to offer, Google has published a series of 360 degree photos taken within the historic walled city of Intramuros in Manila. Obviously Intramuros’ narrow streets aren’t ideal for Google’s Street View car – the photos were taken with the backpack-attached Street View Trekker, which allowed them to get photos in places like Baluarte de San Diego. Check out the source link for the complete list of places they took photos of. If you see Google’s Street View car or Street View Trekker, don’t forget to wave!
