BYD’s newest sedan apparently runs an Android-powered entertainment system
We’ve seen the Android OS integrated into all sorts of devices like TVs and even other appliances, and it’s definitely no stranger to being stuffed inside a car’s entertainment system. There’s still something weird though about being able to run normal Android apps on these entertainment systems, and it’s even weirder seeing AnTuTu benchmark scores on them.
That’s the case with BYD’s newest car, the G5. BYD is a Chinese car manufacturer that actually has a presence here in the Philippines. Their newest car, the G5, has an Android entertainment system, which, coincidentally, scored a rather sedate 15,244 points in AnTuTu.
We’re not entirely sure if BYD sells the G5 here in the PH, but once they do start, at least you’ll know just how far the entertainment system can go.
