Expect the embodiment of British class to start cruising our roads
British car manufacturer Morgan Motor Company is now officially in the PH! The company has officially put up shop in the PH, establishing their first dealership in Greenhills along EDSA. If you’re not familiar with Morgan cars, they’re a well known, hi-end car maker known for their hand-built, classic bespoke vehicles.
The classic styling of their automobiles are unmistakably British, and the care in manufacturing is evident in every part of the vehicle, from the hand-stitched leather seats, wood frame (yes, wood!) and the metal that’s used with the vehicle.
Of course, British luxury doesn’t come cheap. The Morgan Plus 4 is the current vehicle being offered by Morgan Motor Philippines, offering both the 4 seater and 2 seater version of the iconic brand. The Plus 4 uses a Ford GDI 1999cc engine pumping out 115 kw (154 bhp) @ 6000 rpm, mated with a Mazda 5 speed transmission.
The price for the Plus 4 is a cool Php 5.5 million (for both variants). While it’s not as technoligically as advanced as other cars in its price range, it exudes the most class – you may see a Porsche or two on the road, but nothing beats driving the very essence of Britannia.
