IFA 2016: ASUS Takes On Apple’s iPad Air With ZenPad 3S 10

ASUS has officially taken the wraps off of their new, aluminum clad tablet, the ZenPad 3S 10. By the looks of things, ASUS’ new tablet has Apple’s iPad Air in its sights – the new tablet is just 430 grams, has an overall thickness of just 5.8mm and has the same screensize and resolution 9.7-inches and 1536 x 2048, respectively.

ASUS is also particularly proud of the impressive 78% screen-to-body ratio of the new tablet, made possible because of the 5.32mm bezel. In contrast, the iPad Air has a 71.65 screen-to-body ratio.

Inside the tablet is MediaTek’s brand, spanking new hexa-core MT8176 processor, along with 4GB of RAM and your choice of either 32GB or 64GB of storage. ASUS has also outfitted the tablet with dual speakers that are enhanced with the company’s SonicMaster 3.0 tech and virtual 7.1-channel surround sound, as well as an 8-megapixel PixelMaster rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera.

A 5900mAh battery keeps the lights on, and there’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow on-board, along with ASUS’ ZenUI overlay.

ASUS is pricing the ZenPad 3S 10 at $422, which is around Php 19.6K converted.
