2016 has been quite the year for gadget and smartphone releases. We’ve seen the comeback of retro devices, such as: the Nintendo NES Classic, and the boom of the latest craze in handsets: dual rear cameras — Because two cams are better than one. While we’ve seen multiple brands implement the new trend in mobile devices, it was arguably Huawei who made the most waves with their P9 and P9 Plus.
Huawei has had an ongoing photo challenge for people to be able to show off their take on theme, such as: #OO, Happiness, Sunsets, and Beginnings. While the contest doesn’t require you to use their current crop of flagship devices, here’s how the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus can help you capture more precious moments.
Incredible Depth of Field
The monochrome sensor on the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus helps you get an incrdible amount of DoF for those smooth, creamy bokehs in your shots. While your usually single cam setups do a decent job at f/2.0, the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus go as low as f/0.95 so you can really keep the important elements in your photos in focus.
Full Control of Camera Settings
One thing that we really appreciate with the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus is the fact that, while novice photographers can choose between various shooting presets, more advanced photographers can tweak settings to their heart’s content in Manual Mode. Want to edit in post? You can also shoot photos in RAW.
That Leica Mark of Approval
While camera manufacturing giant — Leica — didn’t actually go hands-on with the cameras on the P9 and P9 Plus, they did oversee its development; ultimately giving it its stamp of approval that is boldly displayed on the device. Given the overall performance of the camera on these phones by Huawei and the response its been getting, it’s definitely worthy to bear the name.
And that’s how the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus can help you capture your moments of happiness.
