Cebu is one of the busiest cities in the Philippines.  With the many developments happening there, along with the flocks of tourists wanting to experience some of the country’s most beautiful beaches, it only makes sense to build a new airport that’s bigger and grander.

Terminal 2 of the Cebu-Mactan International Airport has been under construction for 3 years and finally, the long wait is almost over as it will begin commercial operations on July 1st.  Based on the photos, the airport is not just functional but also looks absolutely gorgeous. It has wooden accents on the walls and ceilings to showcase local culture and a flooring that glimmers, making it look like sand.

It is not lacking in entertainment value as well.  It is a given that travelers spend hours in airports while waiting to catch their flight.  For the first time ever, LG will be displaying their ultra slim 55-inch C8 OLED TVs in a Philippine Airport.  Strategically placed at the apron areas, departure check-in, and departure gates, those flying out will see the clearest and most realistic images in an unbelievably thin 4mm display that LG’s C8 OLED TV offers.  The intense color against perfect blacks truly makes images pop and come to life. Its wide viewing angle ensures that the images are crisp no matter where you are positioned.

It’s an honor to see our displays up and running at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Terminal 2. We are excited about the opportunity to introduce travelers from across the region to the beauty of the LG OLED TV,” says Mr. Inkwun Heo, Managing Director of LG Philippines. “These OLED displays perfectly complement the stunning features of the new addition to Cebu’s international airport.”
