We may be aging ourselves a little bit here, but we’ve seen games go from 8-bit graphics to its current state where people from older generations ask us – “What are you watching?” – only to realize we’re playing a game. These new games look great and looking forward things are only going to get better, which also means that the hardware requirements are only going to get higher as well. Acer recently released their Predator Gaming lineup to the Philippine market in the hopes that we become the hunters and not the prey in today’s gaming landscape.

Predator 15

Acer Predator 15

For gaming on the go, there’s the Acer Predator 15 that’s equipped with, you guessed it, a 15.6-inch display at either Full HD or 4K, Intel’s 6th generation i7 CPUs, up to 64GBs of RAM, up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M, a combination of a 1TB HDD and 512GB SSD, Dualshot Pro to take advantage of both your WiFi and LAN (if you can get wired into a network), a backlit customizable ProZone keyboard, and all of that runs on Windows 10. Cooling the laptop is a triple-fan system with a swappable fan the company is calling the Predator FrostCore that is also equipped with their DustDefender and CoolBoost to keep temps down. For the first 100 customers, the Acer Predator 15 will be priced at Php 69,999.

Gaming desktops are still the best way to get a game looking as gorgeous as it can be – Let’s face it, there’s only so much a mobile GPU can do. Equipped with, again, Intel’s 6th gen i7 Processor, NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 970, up to 64GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage — the Predator G3 doesn’t just make games look great but it looks great itself plus it’s VR Ready. The Acer Predator G3 is priced at Php 59,999.

G1

The G3’s sleeker looking sibling is no slouch either. It’s got almost everything the G1 has under the hood and supports NVIDIA’s Titan X GPU too. No official pricing has been released for the G1, but we’ll update this as soon as we get it.

810

Acer Predator 8 GT-810

For mobile gamers, there’s the Predator 8 GT-810. The Predator 8 Tablet has an Intel Atom X7-Z8700 Processor and Intel HD Graphic Gen 8-LP GPU. It has an 8-inch Full HD, IPS display with Acer Prism that enhances image quality. Unfortunately, we’re seeing that the Predator 8 only has 2GB of RAM and that might cause a few hiccups with some of the heavier games. The Predator 8 GT-810 is priced at Php 12,990.

x34

Predator X34

The X34 is the world’s first 34-inch curved gaming monitor with 4K resolution. The X34’s IPS display is equipped with NVIDIA’s G-Sync tech to help with screen tearing, has two built-in 7W DTS speakers, 100Hz refresh rate, and EyeProtect for those long gaming nights. The price for the Predator X34 is Php 64,990.

z650

Predator Z650

Rounding out the bunch is the Predator Z650 projector; perfect for hosting pro game tourneys. The Z650 is capable of projecting 100-inch images and video at Full HD with 20k to 1 contrast ratios and is equipped with ColorPurity, sRGB, ColorBoost3D, and ColorSafeII to make them images and colors pop. There’s also two 10w DTS speakers if you’re in a smaller room, but the unit can also connect to wireless speaker systems via Bluetooth. Want to play games in 3D? The Z650 is also equipped with NVIDIA 3DTV Play and can connect to other 3D devices. The Predator Z650 costs Php78,990.
