We’re getting the i5 configuration as the base model!
One of the most compelling product we’ve seen ASUS launch at their press event during Computex 2017 was the VivoBook S; a 15.6-inch notebook that had a good balance between its internals and price. Sporting up to the latest generation Core i7 processor from Intel, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 512GB of SSD storage paired with a 2TB HDD, and a GeForce 940MX GPU, it sounded like a sweet deal for the base model whose price starts at $499 or somewhere around the Php 25k mark.
Last night, ASUS Philippines help their event to launch the new batch of laptops that were shown in Taiwan; giving us the local pricing for the VivoBook S. The ASUS VivoBook S’ price starts at Php 44,995 for the i5 variant of the device. Again, we have to stress that this is the i5 variant of the VivoBook S and not the i3, whose starting price is $499.
Here are the prices for the other notebooks that ASUS launched during Computex 2017.
- ASUS VivoBook Pro – Php 74,995
- ASUS ZenBook Flip S – Php 84,995
- ASUS ZenBook 3 Deluxe – Php 81,995
- ASUS ZenBook Pro – Php 104,995
We’ll be looking to get the Asus VivoBook S as soon as we can to take it out for a spin to see if its worth its asking price.
